2022 Topic Guide

We are excited to be preparing for this year’s upcoming Bible School! Below you can read a list of the different topics we have chosen for this year. Pray with us for each soul that attends to to gain a beautiful picture of who Jesus is and how He desires to be active in our daily lives.

2 Peter 1:3-4

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Series Title:                  “For Everything there is a time” (Ecc 3)
Series Category             Instruction

Series Overview:
One of the important skills that we as believers need today is discernment for the times.  Being able to understand what time we are in is critical for an appropriate response.  Ecclesiastes 3 lists out many times that we each experience.  We have chosen to highlight five “time pairs” that we feel are especially pertinent for the youth today.

Message Titles:

  1. A time to be born, and a time to die

the realities of life and death.

  • A time to break down, and a time to build up

The power of habits and disciplines in our lives

  • A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing:

God’s vision for marriage, but also acknowledging the call of some to singleness

  • A time to keep silence, and a time to speak:

Discernment in how to appropriately use our influence as youth.

  • A time of war, and a time of peace:

We are aliens in an uncertain world and there are challenges in times of chaos but also in times of prosperity, how do we respond to these challenges?

Series Title:             “Sufficiency of Christ: I need Christ for…”
Series Category:      Practical Application

Series Overview:
Our burden is that this series would equip students in meaningful, useable ways to draw from the sufficiency of Christ to meet specific challenges in life.

Message Titles:

  1. My Identity

A message on finding my identity in Christ. As youth ask questions such as – Who am I? What gives me value? Am I accepted? Am I loved? What do I have to achieve/do/earn/become/have? Am I as bad (or as good) as I think I am? – our burden is that youth would break through lies and limiting beliefs to find their identity securely in the unchanging, unshakeable, joy-producing, passion-growing, all-sufficiency of Christ!

  • My Daily Salvation

A message on practical, moment-by-moment, day-by-day salvation. Our burden is that the eyes of our youth would be opened to the glorious power and salvation that is available in this present life! As we war against the flesh and the powers of darkness – whether it be lusts, temptations, pride, jealousy, laziness, fear, doubt, depression, or countless other attacks – there is powerful, delivering, supernatural power in Christ! We not only need Christ for our eternal salvation, we need Him for our daily salvation in every circumstance!

  • My Relationships

Our desire is to equip the youth with practical tools for navigating personal relationships. Whether it is in building and deepening relationships, healing from broken relationships, or handling dysfunctional relationships with siblings, parents, or others, we need Christ to show us how to navigate personal relationships.

  • My Passion for Souls

We need Christ to take away fear and give us a passion for souls. Our burden is that youth would see and experience how the saving, healing, redeeming, sufficiency of Christ gives us a passion for souls!

  • My Decisions

As youth grow into unknown territory, they face decisions that look complex and challenging: moving away for a season (for work, ministry, etc). Whether to go to college. Career choice. Marriage or singleness. As these decisions are faced, it is often challenging to know how to sort through the weight of what seems to hang overhead. Our burden is to share how Christ is sufficient in our weakness, and how we can walk with Him through the “big decisions” of life.
