Topic Schedule for November 2019

While we are anticipating a rich time of learning and growing next month with speakers from all over the world, our expectation is in the Lord who made heaven and earth and all that is in it. God is able. God is good. He knows the way that you take. He sees and cares. He knows what you need and how to get it to you.
The eyes of all wait upon [Him]; and [He] gives them their meat in due season. [He] opens [His] hand, and satisfies the desire of every living thing. Psalm 145:15-16.
In this post you can read a short synopsis of each of this year’s Bible School topics and the thought process behind it. Why these topics for this year?

The Fatherhood of God

This “Father” series is placed in the Inspiration category for the week of Bible School 2019 to call the youth present to “Lift up your eyes on high and behold… WHO hath created all these things!” When God reveals Himself to us as Father, we can more easily understand His commitment, care, and authority. He calls us to examine our best earthly relationships, then see Him as the perfect executor of those roles. Our gray-scale view of life from earth’s perspective hugely handicaps our relationship with God. When we embrace Him as a good Father, we rest in His security and are freed to embrace Life as He intends us to. The best fathers take their children on the journey from procreation to finishing strong! So does God…

Book Study of Malachi

We are excited to see what the Lord will reveal to disciples that he assembles in Washington in the fall of 2019 from the prophesy of Malachi. This short but potent revelation of the mind of God toward his people near the end of the Old Testament era is very insightful in the original context in which it was written, with both current reproof and proclamation to the returned remnant of Israel and their leaders, along with glorious promises of a coming Messiah. However, recognizing that these scriptures were written aforetime for our learning and admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come; we further anticipate relevant, practical 21st century teaching from this prophesy and from our God who herein declares: “For I am the Lord, I change not…”  We desire for younger disciples to have their appetites irremediably cultivated for further study and obedience by exposure to teaching and analysis of a minor prophet with a word from the Lord to Israel that carries a far-reaching, global message reaching even to our generation!

The Greater “Yes”

What happens when disciples of today are hearing NO more than YES? No from their church, no from their parents, and no from their other older mentors?

What would happen if our Christian communities began to focus on all the things in life that can be faced with a solid and a resounding – YES?

Our desire is to be a place that our youth can come and find that they can say YES to the Master to guide our every step and thought, YES to media that glorifies our Lord and builds depth in the lives of disciples today, YES to music that biblically exalts our Lord, YES to what the Master may be doing in preparing me for marriage (whether soon or not) and YES to a life of maturity that is rooted in the YES’s of biblical sobriety, soldier mentality and having put away childish things.

This session should be one that energizes and inspires our youth to help them focus on very practical areas of life, so they can run toward the YES of the issue! It is also intended that we all understand that by saying YES to any given area there will be an automatic NO to that which is not included in the YES – the difference is what we choose to FOCUS on.

We invite you to come and grow with us this year as we all with open face behold as in a glass the glory of the Lord and are changed into His image by the work of the Holy Spirit.
